I'm a student who teaches beginners and young to play piano in an easy and understandable way.
I have played piano for 6 years now, and have taken short music courses online and on a boarding school 2 years ago. I'm a perfect alternative to you, who doesn't wish to pay for a professional educated music teacher, but still wants someone who will listen to you, and prioritize your development. I will never, ever, teach more than one student at a time, because I wish to prioritize one persons skill-set and what they need to improve.

I believe that the most important part, of learning any new skill, is that you maintain your motivation and love for this hobby. This is why I prefer to talk with you, the student, and discuss what you would like to play. Together we'll discuss what I believe are the most important things for you to learn to achieve these goals, and whether you wish to try anything in particular, or avoid anything in particular. I also offer a free 30-minute session either online, or where I can come to you so that we can have this pre-lecture discussion.
I also strongly believe that it's important to focus on the small things within an instrument that you learn quickly, such as reading chords, in order to motivate you as a student properly, and help you feel as if you're achieving something. This is also why I try to stay away from scales and repetitive exercises when i teach beginners, as the most important thing in the start is to cultivate your newfound interest.
I also realize that it's very important that I, as a teacher, don't ever judge your ability to either play or understand something. I will instead realize that skills take practice, and that no one is good at a new hobby that they've just picked.
My mother-tongue is Danish, but as I've been taught music theory in English, I prefer to teach in English. However, if you're certain you want me as a teacher we can probably figure something out.
