Om Laura
My educational background is a bachelor degree in Biochemistry with Study in Industry, a masters degree in Human Biology and three years of research experience working with bacterial biofilms.
I have teaching experience as a tutor of 10-18 year olds in mathematics and biology, a developer and teacher of an intensive IB Biology revision course, as well as work experience developing educational science content for universities and high schools globally.
I am a positive, friendly woman and strive for an equitable and inclusive approach to teaching for all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, religions.

We'll break down difficult subjects into bite size pieces to help you understand the WHY - once you get there, remembering the facts comes more easily. We'll work together to find out your learning style and the pace that works for you. If something doesn't make sense, we'll approach it from another angle, always with a focus on active learning.
The human body is a fascinating interconnection of processes from the biochemical level to whole body systems. I want to share my excitement with you!
Teaching anywhere up to introductory university level. I can additionally help you with chemistry and mathematics at a high school/sixth form level.
