Om Remi
I am Remi (they/them) a 24 years old social sciences student at Roskilde University. I come from Prague from Czechia. Beyond the love for chess and photography, I am very interested in human ecology and different political-economic systems and philosophies as I bear deep desire for liveable and possibly better future - I am also engaged in climate activism. I like dancing, I have strong love for mushrooms and good, creative music plays an essential role in my life. I oppose all oppression and the current genocide in Gaza (and all the genocides we have been witnessing) and I do not wish to teach anyone who does not feel in alignment with this statement. I am looking forward to meeting you ang getting to know you more :))

I am a 24 years old social sciences student at Roskilde University. I come from Prague from Czechia. I already have several experiences with teaching or as a children group instructor. Most importantly, I have the (paid) experience with teaching the basics of chess to groups of 7-10y olds, which helped me to create the skill of explaining chess in a way that anyone can understand and with a sense of warmth and patience that should allow you feeling relaxed and able to soak in what I have to offer :)).
I will teach you the basic piece movements and rules, basic and must-know tactical tools and tricks as well as some foundational strategical principles that will get you on the path of beating your enemies. I will play with you in (differentiated piece) setups that will give you real chance in defeating me from the very first games, so you will have the opportunity to learn from real games and reach real achievements. I will provide feedback and comments for the moves and game during or/and after each match.
Be aware that I am not a "high" ranking player, I am around rank 1300 which is way better than a beginner, but even farther from "good", serious, pro player. Also, the teaching and all communication is in ENGLISH (superprof.dk doesn't allow to change the primary language from Danish in the settings).
