Om Meroe
I believe that sharing knowledge is one of the best ways to keep learning. Every student thinks differently, asks different questions, and sees problems from a different perspective, so teaching is always a two-way process for me.
I strongly believe in a cycle of helping people: someone shares their knowledge and experience with us, we grow from it, and then we pass that knowledge on to others. This is one of the main reasons I enjoy teaching and mentoring.
As a graduate of Aarhus University and a student mentor there, I have worked with students from different academic and personal backgrounds. I take my responsibilities seriously and always try to create a respectful and comfortable environment where students can ask questions without feeling judged.
For me, being a good teacher is not about knowing everything. It is about listening carefully, explaining patiently, being willing to find better ways to teach, and helping students become more confident and independent. I also believe that every time I help someone understand something, I deepen my own knowledge and become a better teacher.

I teach students from school level to university level in mathematics, physics, electromagnetism, statistics, engineering subjects, CAD, MATLAB, and data analytics.
My teaching approach starts with listening. Before explaining a topic, I try to understand what the student actually needs, where they are struggling, and how they learn best. I do not believe the same teaching method works for everyone, so I adapt each lesson to the student’s personality, level, confidence, and sensitivity.
A typical lesson starts with identifying the main challenge and setting a clear goal. We then work through the topic step by step using practical examples, exercises, and, when relevant, technical software. For technical and engineering students, I can also provide support with CAD, MATLAB, engineering calculations, statistics, and problem-solving methods. In data analytics, I can support students with Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, and working with real datasets.
Through my work as a student mentor at Aarhus University, I have supported university students with different academic needs and personal challenges, including students with autism and mental health difficulties. This experience has taught me to be patient, flexible, attentive, and always mindful of each person’s character, communication style, and individual needs.
I encourage students to ask questions and explain their own thinking rather than simply giving them the answer. My goal is not only to help students complete an assignment or pass an exam, but also to help them understand the subject, become more independent, and feel more confident in solving problems on their own.
