Om Ondrej
Hej og dejligt at møde dig! I am a professional teacher, trumpeter and conductor who graduated from Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen (2025), the Royal College of Music (2022) and The University of Edinburgh (2018), both with First class degrees. In 2024, I won the Third prize & Special prize at the Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition. In the past years, I have worked with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Czech Chamber Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic among others. I’ve also worked with Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Antonio Pappano, Maxim Vengerov, Martyn Brabbins, Jac van Steen, and Ryan Bancroft. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to study and learn from many fantastic teachers from around the globe. Sharing all these experiences and the different approaches brings me great joy and that’s why I love teaching people like yourself. I am an experienced amateur trumpet player and I have been studying with Ondřej in in-person as well as online lessons for over five years now. During this time, Ondřej has tremendously helped me to improve various aspects of my playing, such as breathing, repertoire, intonation, ear training, etc. In lessons, he creates a productive, friendly, and encouraging atmosphere and always finds the right explanation or exercises to help me with a certain technique or a difficult passage in a piece. I very much enjoy having lessons with Ondřej, he is an excellent teacher, and I would highly recommend him to other students.
