Om Lucia
Hi! My name is Lucía and I'm half Polish half Mexican. When I first started in the Cambridge programme I was completely lost and overstimulated with all the work, so I decided to help people who also struggle with the material like I did! I tried many methods for studying and understanding topics before finding the right one for me. And I will help any student to do the same. I passed the exams with grades better that I could've imagined thanks to understanding how I study best. Homework doesn't have to be a frustrating, hard and time-consuming thing. Together we can find the best way of doing homework, so that it's quick and the knowledge really sticks with you.

I always let the student try and figure out the answer to the question themselves. I will provide help with understanding the question and clear up any doubts if needed. In the case that the student doesn't know how to answer, I will show them how to look for the answer in the book and other materials provided by the teacher. If they still don't understand I will explain and we will work through the question together. In the end we will review the answer again and make sure that they feel confident in answering similar questions.
With more open questions such as essays and text analyses, we will look into how to approach such questions and make them easier to answer. We will look at different ways to structure and make a plan, such as: mind maps, outlines, lists and drafts. In the end we will work together to find the way most suitable for them. I will also provide help with structuring the essay and give tips on how to manage time when working on long texts. Which will of course be useful in any tests, exams and timed essays.
I will help with homework when it's needed but I can also help with studying for Science and English tests. Cambridge often wants specifically phrased answers and I can help the students get into the habit of answering the questions as such. My schedule is mostly free in the evenings.
I speak Polish and Spanish fluently which can help if the student doesn't speak English very well yet.
I can teach students from the Checkpoint level in English and Science and from the IGCSE level in English first and second language and Coordinated Science core and extended double and single award.
