Om Stefan
My name is Stefan, and I am a pianist and opera répétiteur currently in the Advanced Postgraduate Soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where I am also linked with the Young Artist Program at the Royal Danish Theatre’s Opera House.
I have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist across Europe and beyond, and have worked with singers, instrumentalists, and conductors at a professional level. Alongside performing, I have years of experience teaching piano to both children and adults, beginners and advanced students.
What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to combine the discipline of professional training with a flexible, student-centered approach. I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs — whether you are just starting out, preparing for an exam, or working towards a career in music.
I strive to make my lessons both structured and enjoyable, ensuring that students build a strong technical foundation while also developing their own musical expression and creativity.

My Teaching Approach
I always adapt my lessons to the individual student’s needs, goals, and musical interests. My philosophy is that playing the piano should be both educational and inspiring, whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced player. I combine solid technical training with creativity and expression, so that students not only learn to play correctly, but also to communicate through music.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
Building a solid technical foundation: fingerings, sound, posture
Musical interpretation: phrasing, dynamics, and expression
Preparation for exams, auditions, or competitions
Guidance in chamber music and accompaniment (for singers and instrumentalists)
