I have acquired considerable experience and skills in developing and delivering high-quality, research-led teaching and supervision in Phenomenology, Existentialism, Critical Theory, Political Philosophy, and Philosophy of Mind, for both postgraduate and undergraduate students at universities in five countries. I have a proven record of being consistently enthusiastic and providing effective pastoral assistance to students from widely diverse academic and personal backgrounds.

I have gained considerable experience of effective teaching for students from a wide variety of cultural and academic backgrounds, ranging from Philosophy graduates to undergraduates from different disciplines, teaching at universities in Denmark, Ireland, Finland, China, Italy and Mexico.
My diverse and inclusive strategy includes: (i) providing an exciting and understandable base-line for all, supplemented by more challenging extensions for advanced students; (ii) promoting effective interaction by devoting time to student presentations and discussions, ensuring all students participate in learning, deliberation and debate; and (iii) offering effective and practical guidance on: essay-writing; careful and critical reading of Philosophical texts; and developing clear and sound argumentation - aspects that can be especially difficult for those who are new to Philosophy.
I have also employed intensive one-on-one supervision to help develop research goals and essay arguments, aiming to recognise each student’s unique background and perspective.
