I have been studying Filmmaking for the last five years, and have been working freelance for most of them. Whilst my primary role is as cinematographer, I have worked my through the department for years in various roles, giving me the technical knowledge that allows me to apply my ideas to the best of my ability.

A typical lesson would be going through a scene and analyzing it's execution, both on a practical and thematic level, as well as going through how we could achieve it ourselves in terms of editing, lighting, and the camera itself. Whilst I would like to choose these scenes myself, I think it would also be beneficial for a student to suggest scenes that they want to go through. I would also go through the cinematographer's role in pre-production, and the importance of communication in both this stage and later stages of productions.
