Om Erin
About Me
Hi, I’m Erin! I’m originally from Australia and have recently moved to Copenhagen after completing my Master’s degree in International Development. I’m a friendly and easy-going person who enjoys meeting new people, travelling and experiencing different cultures.
Outside of work and study, I love being outdoors and staying active. I enjoy surfing, hiking, swimming, travelling and exploring new places, and I’m always keen to try something new.
Having recently moved to Denmark, I’m excited to meet people, become part of the local community and share a little bit of Australian culture along the way. I’m particularly interested in helping others feel comfortable and confident speaking English in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

As a native English speaker from Australia, I can help students develop not only their grammar and vocabulary, but also their confidence in actually using English in real conversations. Having grown up speaking English, I understand the expressions, pronunciation, humour and everyday language that you don’t always learn from a textbook.
My studies have also required me to communicate clearly with people from many different cultural and professional backgrounds. Throughout my university experience, I’ve written reports, delivered presentations, worked in teams and discussed complex topics in English. I understand how important it is to be able to communicate naturally and confidently, particularly in an international environment.
I’m also patient, friendly and comfortable working with people of different ages and abilities. My experience in hospitality and as a surf lifesaving leader has taught me how to communicate with people, explain things clearly, stay calm and create an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions.
Most importantly, I wouldn’t want English lessons to feel like a traditional classroom. I’d like students to actually enjoy speaking English, whether that means having conversations about travel, culture, current topics, work or everyday life.
I think my Australian background is also an advantage. Students would get the opportunity to learn English from someone who uses it naturally every day, while also learning about Australian culture and the differences between Australian and Danish ways of communicating.
I’ve just finished my Master’s degree and am looking for an opportunity where I can use my communication skills, meet people and contribute to the community here in Denmark. I would be enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely committed to helping my students become more confident English speakers.
