Om Ignacia
I am a spanish-chilean PhD in Computational Biologist from INRIA France and Bioengineer with experience teaching students at different levels, from children and teenagers to bachelor’s and master’s students in different countries (France, Chile and Denmark).
As a tutor, I am patient, motivating, and supportive. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and needs, explaining complex topics step by step with clear examples and practical exercises using the latest technologies.
My goal is to help students feel confident, engaged, and comfortable asking questions, while making learning clear and engaging. I am currently based in Lyngby, and I teach in English, Spanish or French. I also incorporate some Danish in the lessons, and I speak intermediate German and Mandarin.

My approach as a tutor is to make each lesson clear and fun. I usually start by defining the objective of the lesson and explaining why the topic is relevant. Then, I introduce the theory in a simple way, using examples, PowerPoint slides, or visual explanations when helpful.
After that, I guide the student through engaging exercises related to the topic, starting with easier examples and gradually increasing the difficulty. I like to include interactive elements, such as mini-games or simple programming examples, when relevant, to make learning more dynamic and enjoyable.
At the end of each lesson, I summarize the most important message or concept so the student leaves with the main takeaway.
As a teacher, I am patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable. I try to adjust my explanations to the student’s level and learning style. I have experience teaching children and teenagers, as well as bachelor’s and master’s students in subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, biotechnology, and cell biology.
