Om Joana
I'm Joana, a portuguese former journalist, content writer and copywriter.
I have 6+ years of experience working with words and communicating with different audiences, which has taught me how to explain ideas clearly and adapt my communication to different people.
I’m patient, curious and easy-going, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether you’re learning Portuguese for travel, work, family or simply because you love the language, I’ll make sure our lessons are practical, engaging and adapted to you.

My lessons are adapted to each student’s level, goals and interests. I like to combine conversation, vocabulary and grammar with practical exercises, so students can start using Portuguese from the very first lesson.
A lesson may include:
Learning specific vocabulary around a topic
Learning how to talk and write about a certain topic
Doing exercises related to that topic
Learning verb conjugations
Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and actually enjoying learning Portuguese.
