Om Dona
My name is Dona, I'm 27 year old from Croatia. I learned English mainly by myself through various methods, and as I explained already, I'm an alternative teacher. This means I believe in and practice different methods and styles of teaching, that are often personalized to my students. It all depends if you prefer to work in silence, groups, outside, with sounds, visuals, or something completely different. I educate in a way that I involve my students into creation of their own education, which not everyone is comfortable with - some people don't want to own their education and want to be completely lead by the teacher, which is completely fine, but it's not who I am. I believe in YOU being an active part of your education, since that's the way we learn more about the subject, about ourselves and our learning, and we practice the qualities of taking ownership, responsibility and accountability. It's not easy, but it pays off so much more, because you don't learn only about the subject, but you learn how to learn as well (hopefully this makes sense).
I am energetic, very active person that has enormous curiosity. I am currently traveling in Latin America, but I previously worked with underage criminals and was educating them. Apart from that, my hobbies are diving, sailing, surfing, and making sure I'm becoming better person every day.
I am very relaxed and I will absolutely NOT be your classical, authoritarian teacher. So, in case you're seeking someone really formal,'in front of the blackboard' type of teacher, it's not me. Contact me only if you wish to be part of a creative process ️

This is YOUR education, therefore we create TOGETHER the plan that will be unique to you and your needs regarding this language, your learning style and preference. I am educated in alternative teaching and I worked in specialized education - therefore, I have experience in creating a specialized approach for students and creating an education where students in the end own their learning process and are taught to not depend on the teacher. The lessons totally depend on you and your need, and your likes/dislikes- the approach is very individual.
This is for people who already have some basic conversational level of English, and are searching for creative ways of getting better, expanding their vocabulary and getting more confident.
I can also help if you have no basic knowledge whatsoever, but then it will be necessary for this process to be really our common effort, as Danish is my 3rd language and I would have to work on my confidence in Danish, as you're working on your confidence in English! I have done it before, but not where people payed me.
