Om Julie
Hi, I'm Julie, a woman from Barcelona with a French mother who has been living in Hamburg, Germany for the last ten years. I am very international and have had the opportunity to get to know many cultures and languages. I speak Catalan, Spanish, English, French and German. Now I'm learning Danish, but I haven't mastered it yet, so please excuse the mistakes! Now I live in Copenhagen and I would like to continue teaching Spanish to people who need it. In Germany, I worked for 7 years in a language academy where I taught teenagers and adults. I have a certificate from Instituto Cervantes to work with children and teenagers. In addition, I studied at university to become a high school Spanish teacher. Whether you want to improve your grammar, pronunciation or are just looking for conversation lessons, contact me and we can talk about it. I also work with different and didactic materials such as books, music, reading books, films and series. I usually teach online, but if you live nearby, we can talk about it and I can teach in person.

In my Spanish classes, I emphasise the integration of all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. I use a mix of traditional textbook methods and self-created material to ensure that the lessons are varied and tailored to the students' needs. It is particularly important for me to integrate authentic and everyday situations into my teaching to make the language vivid and practical. This allows my students to apply what they have learnt directly to their everyday lives.
A typical lesson with me is dynamic and interactive. I often start with a brief review of the previous topic or a short conversation in Spanish to actively involve the students. This is followed by an introduction to a new topic or skill using modern materials such as articles, videos or podcasts. During the lesson, there are many opportunities for dialogue, role play or group work to encourage students to use the language. At the end, there is always time to reflect on what the students have learnt and how they can improve further.
I am a very open and humorous person, which helps me to create a pleasant learning atmosphere. Humour is an important tool for me to motivate students and promote a relaxed environment. I am also very adaptable and try to organise lessons to suit the individual needs and interests of the students. Through my enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture, I pass on this passion and always try to keep the lessons exciting and relevant.
I teach Spanish at all levels and for all age groups. This means that I teach both beginners and advanced students and use different methods and materials to suit each level and learning objectives. I work with both individuals and groups and always try to tailor my lessons to the specific needs and wishes of my students. I keep up to date with the latest teaching methods and techniques through regular training and dialogue with colleagues.

Julie war die Spanischlehrerin unsere Tochter Antonia vor 2 Jahren. Antonia hat ihr Abitur mit 14 Punkte in Spanisch geschrieben, wir sind sehr glücklich, dass Julie so eine große Hilfe für sie war. Sie hat immer Materialien selbst erstellt die passend zu den Abiturthemen war und hat Antonia Hausaufgaben gegeben, damit sie regelmäßig übt. Julie ist außerdem eine sehr nette und offene Person, mit der man sehr gut arbeiten kann. Wir können sie nur weiterempfehlen!
I had Julie as a teacher for 3 years in Hamburg in the School Profilengua. We worked in a small group of three and started at A1 level and finished with a B2. We had one hour per week and also one hour conversation. It was always funny to work with her and we learned a lot. At the end we also went to a spanish restaurant together to practice ordering in spanish and we had a great time. I would always recommend Julie as a teacher as she is cheerful, pacient and meticulous.
