With a solid background in teaching Spanish and a passion for sharing my native language, I’m dedicated to guiding English-speaking students on their Spanish language learning journey, adapting my techniques to different levels and needs.
My teaching approach is dynamic and student-centered. Throughout my classes, I use interactive methods such as language games, discussions on cultural topics, and simulations of real-life situations. These activities not only help students develop their communicative competence, but also keep their motivation high by linking the content to their personal interests. My method combines both: the communicative approach and project-based learning, where students are the protagonists of their own learning.
A typical lesson plan in my classes includes an engaging introduction with visual and auditory examples, followed by interactive activities where students practice the new grammar structures and vocabulary in authentic contexts. We culminate with a reflection activity, where students demonstrate their understanding through conversation exercises or presentations.
I consider myself an approachable, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher, capable of adapting my classes to different ages and levels. My experience includes both teaching young children (ages 4-7) and high school-aged teenagers (ages 12 and up), which has allowed me to develop a great sensitivity to learning differences and adjust my classes to maximize each student's potential. I work with students of different abilities and always seek to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
I’m committed to the academic and personal growth of my students, helping them not only learn the language, but also connect with the rich Spanish-speaking culture.
