Om Alessandro
After my Bachelor’s degree in “Sports Science”, I have obtained a Master's degree in “Prevention and Adapted Movement Sciences and Techniques” at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Afterward, I have obtained a first-level Master's degree in “Human Posture” at the University of Rome La Sapienza.
Until last year, I collaborated with F.I.G.C. (Italian Football Federation) as Responsible for the Youth Football Sector of the province of Grosseto (Tuscany). It was my responsibility to work with all the federal technical components and youth teams (from 5 to 15 years old) in order to develop an evidence-based education and training methodology. In addition to that, I was working as Physical Education Teacher in the P. Pascucci Primary School in Grosseto (Italy), a position for which I have 3 years of professional experience.
Last year I enrolled in the first-level University Master in “Theory and Techniques of Athletic Training in Football” offered at the Universities of Pisa and Verona and sponsored by the F.I.G.C. (Italian Football Federation). In the meantime, from August to November 2020 I have carried out an internship under the Mobilize Project based at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics of University of Southern Denmark, with the supervision of professor Søren Thorgaard Skou. During this time, I have had the opportunity to assist with the preparation of systematic reviews and collect and analyze gathered data. This has allowed improving my knowledge and research ability, as well as independence in finalizing the research goal. According to the project plan, the results are concluding in a scientific publication.
After this experience, I decided to move to Copenhagen, and I am currently involved in an exciting collaboration for my Thesis project, based on GPS data analysis of the Danish women's national U17 football team, with the Danish Football Association (DBU) and the supervision of prof. Carlo Castagna and Peter Krustrup.

For me, football is not only the sport that I have practiced since I was a child but is a real passion that I have strengthened with several years of academic studies and practical work on the field.
Thanks to several university experiences and multidisciplinary work contexts, I have now acquired a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in training and communication methodology.
