Om Atahan
I’m Atahan, a mathematics tutor with a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen and over three years of experience tutoring in English.
What I enjoy most about teaching is helping someone make sense of an idea that initially felt out of reach.
Alongside mathematics, I teach Lindy Hop partner dancing. Both have shaped how I approach teaching: breaking complex ideas into manageable steps, adapting to different ways of learning, and giving people space to practise and ask questions.
Outside teaching, you’ll usually find me dancing, running, playing board games, or exploring specialty coffee.

My aim is to help you understand mathematics and become more confident studying it independently. We’ll explore why methods work, how to choose an approach, and how to explain your reasoning clearly. I tailor lessons to your course, pace, and goals—whether you’re catching up, preparing for an exam, or building a deeper understanding. Where useful, I use visual explanations and computational tools to make abstract ideas more concrete.
I teach university mathematics in English, including Linear Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Abstract Algebra. You don’t need to arrive knowing the right questions. We can work out where you’re getting stuck together.

I studied with Atahan during one of the most complex courses in advanced algebra—Advanced Vector Spaces—at the University of Copenhagen.
