Om Maja
My name is Maja Pálinkás, I'm an Economics student at Aarhus University. I have been passionate about languages since I was little. The first foreign language that I learned was German, I studied it at school for 4 years when I passed my B2 exam, after that I learned English by communicating with international exchange students who came to my country and also taking some extra lessons. In 2019 I was an exchange student in Italy for 6 months, where I learned the language fluently and thanks to this experience I also know a lot about Italian culture. After I came back from Italy I started studying Russian, and right now during my time in Denmark my mission is to learn Danish. I have been teaching Hungarian as a foreign language to exchange students for 2 years and I have often given tutoring sessions to my friends and classmates from school in the language they needed it. I love teaching and working with other people, it's the best feeling when I see that my students are improving and their knowledge is getting better every time.

I find practice-based learning the most effective, I make my lessons very interactive. I make sure that my teaching involves a lot of conversations and everyday life expressions that make it easier to start communicating in the given language. On the other hand grammatical rules and pronounciation are also crucial for mastering a language. I always try to explain grammatical rules in the most simple way possible using a lot of examples. I believe that language learning should not only be about studying, but also about having a good time and feeling the improvement from one lesson to another.
