Om Aleksandra
My name is Aleksandra and I am a passionate cellist and teacher. I play solo, in various ensembles as well as in the orchestra.
I come from Poland, where I finished 15 years of music education, including a Bachelor degree with a pedagogical course. With understanding of basic psychology, knowledge about children development and strong technique I can provide students various perspectives and adapt my approach accordingly to their age and needs.
Deeply curious about the Danish approach to music education, I have completed a main instrument pedagogy course, where I got to know Suzuki method and general principles of Danish education.
I work as a cello teacher in Kulturskole Skanderborg and Aarhus Aftenskole.
I am a very positive and energetic person who loves to build connections and develop relationships with others and it all can be seen during my lessons.
I am most comfortable teaching in English, but I also speak enough Danish to give an efficient lesson, so all ages are welcome!

Thanks to my background, I can present a method that combines exact instructions and focus on building a strong foundation for playing, with freedom of expression and musical choices of the student. On the top of it comes Suzuki method, which is based on natural learning style (repetition and immersion), same as the acquisition of the mother tongue works.
I have taught children from the age of 5, teenagers and adult beginners.
