Om Lucia

Hi, I’m Lucía. I’m a native Spanish teacher from Seville. I’ve been teaching languages for more than six years in Spain, Slovakia and Denmark. Most recently, I worked at the European School Copenhagen, where I taught Spanish to secondary students from different countries and linguistic backgrounds. I’ve also taught adults and private students online.

I studied Translation and Interpreting, completed a Master’s in Secondary Education and later specialised further in Spanish Language and Literature.

My lessons are practical and adapted to each student. Some students want to improve their conversation, others are moving to Spain, preparing for an exam or simply want to feel more confident when speaking. I always try to understand what each student needs and build the lessons around that.

I like using a mix of conversation, grammar, videos, songs, articles and real-life situations. I think it is important to understand the language, but also to use it from the beginning.

Having lived abroad myself, I know how difficult it can be to speak a new language without feeling nervous. For that reason, I try to create a relaxed atmosphere where students can ask questions, make mistakes and improve at their own pace.

I’m passionate about my native language, Spanish, and I’d love to share that passion with you. My teaching approach is all about communication, helping you start speaking Spanish confidently from the beginning.

My main focus is to make sure you can handle basic conversations in everyday situations. We’ll use a mix of resources like textbooks, newspaper articles, infographics, templates, and fun websites to keep things interesting and enjoyable.

In every lesson, we’ll work on the four key language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—so you get a well-rounded learning experience.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your Spanish to the next level, my lessons are for everyone. I’d love to help you achieve your goals and have fun with the language along the way!
