Om Raitis
I got my primary education in Riga State Gymnasium No 1 and I scored 93% on the national math exam. After that I studied Finance Engineering for 4 semesters in Riga Technical University, realised it is not for me and came to Denmark to study Software Development and graduated in 2021.
I am ethnically Latvian. While I can speak some Danish I cant do it well enough to give a satisfying lesson in Danish, therefore I will be teaching in English.

So far I have taught only 3 students as teaching is not my primary occupation.
Typically students have an entrance exam they are preparing for, so I get a copy of one of the previous exams and start to do all exercises with them. As in, I first ask them to do one of the tasks and I correct their mistakes as they go and explain what is the correct way and how not to make those mistakes again. If they have no clue how to do the task or they are thinking for longer that 2 mins, depending on the situation, I do one of 2 things:
1) Do the task myself as explain every step as I go.
2) Ask them short questions whose answers can be used to arrive at the end result.
After doing 1 or 2 of these exams I usually have a good grasp on what topics are weak for the student, so I start making up basic versions of the tasks they had trouble with until the student can solve them without assistance and until the student stops making mistakes.
Once that is taken care of, I get more exams to go through.
Rinse and repeat.
I typically teach grades 7-9 but I imagine I wouldnt have troubles teaching any other grades as long as it doesnt involve integral calculus.
