Om Nikos
Hello future students! My name is Nikos, and I am a native Greek speaker with a passion for teaching. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in the international Erasmus Mundus MA program, Journalism, Media, and Globalization, at Aarhus University and the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
I believe that language is a powerful tool for communication, cultural exchange, and personal growth. That is why I want to share my knowledge of the Greek language and culture with you. As a teacher, I strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and that every student deserves personalized attention and support.
I have two years of experience teaching Greek to foreigners with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This experience has taught me the value of empathy, patience, and adaptability in teaching. I am excited to work with you and help you achieve your language goals, whether you're planning a trip to Greece, studying Greek literature, or simply looking to broaden your linguistic horizons.

As a teacher, I believe in a dynamic and interactive approach to language learning. My techniques and methods vary depending on the needs and interests of my students, but they always prioritize practical skills and real-life scenarios. In my lessons, I encourage active participation, creative thinking, and a positive learning environment.
A typical lesson plan with me includes a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises, as well as cultural insights and fun activities. I tailor my lesson plans to the individual needs and pace of each student, ensuring that they get the most out of every session.
Ι am a patient, enthusiastic, and creative teacher. I understand that learning Greek can be challenging, but I also know how rewarding it can be. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for my students, where they can feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.

I started Greek lessons with Nikos because I was preparing for an Erasmus exchange in Greece. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations when I first began, but Nikos completely surpassed them! He is incredibly friendly, patient, and has a deep understanding of English, which made it much easier for me to grasp linguistic concepts and comparative grammar. His teaching approach was both engaging and practical - he even taught me local phrases that proved really useful during my stay in Greece.
